Title Tag

Definition

The title tag is an HTML element (<title>) that defines the title of a web page. It appears as the clickable headline in search engine results and in the browser tab. Title tags are one of the most important on-page SEO elements — they directly influence both rankings and click-through rates. Best practices: keep titles between 30-60 characters, place your primary keyword near the beginning, include your brand name at the end (separated by | or —), make each page's title unique, and write for humans first (be compelling, not just keyword-stuffed). Google may rewrite your title tag if it determines a better match for the search query.
