On-Page SEO
Definition
On-page SEO refers to optimizations you make directly on your web pages to improve their search engine rankings. This includes title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure (H1-H6), keyword usage, content quality, image alt text, internal linking, URL structure, and user experience signals. Unlike technical SEO (which focuses on site infrastructure) or off-page SEO (which focuses on external signals like backlinks), on-page SEO is about making each individual page as relevant and valuable as possible for its target keywords.
