SERP (Search Engine Results Page)
Definition
A SERP (Search Engine Results Page) is the page Google or other search engines display after a user enters a search query. Modern SERPs include far more than the traditional 10 blue links. Common SERP features include: organic results (standard listings), paid ads (Google Ads), featured snippets (position zero), Knowledge Panels, People Also Ask boxes, local pack (map results), image/video carousels, AI Overviews, shopping results, and sitelinks. Understanding SERP features for your target keywords is essential for SEO strategy — the presence of certain features may change what type of content you need to create to capture visibility.
